Prototype, the brand new album by Moonbird is another proof that there’s no reason to push this creator into a definite frame. His music just keeps on surprising listeners with evident compositional mastery, not to mention the innovative sound solutions. Prototype is perhaps Moonbird’s deepest dive so far into the dark forest of his own unique fusion of progressive, minimal, and goa. Listening to these tracks is pretty emotional, especially after slowly realizing that the title ‘prototype’ points to our current bleak reality being unfinished, undone. It portrays our days as a kind of test, an experiment that’s destined to become a substantial future at some point. So this feeling gives additional power to the already provided musical goosebumps.
